Kia Announces March 2025 Global Sales Results
- March 2025 global sales of 278,058 units, up 2.2% Y/y
- Outside of Korea, Kia sold 227,724 units, up 2.2% Y/y
- Kia SUVs led the company’s sales, including EV3, Sportage and Sorento models
- Kia recorded its highest-ever Q1 sales, with 772,351 units sold from January to March
Kia Corporation today announced total global sales of 278,058 units in March 2025, a 2.2 percent increase year over year.
This strong global sales performance was driven by robust sales of Kia’s Sportage and Sorento models, which were launched in the second half of last year, as well as growing demand for the EV3.
Kia SUVs led the company’s sales in March, with the Sportage selling 49,196 units globally. The Sorento SUV backed up this strong market performance with sales of 25,942 units, followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 25,790 units.
Sales outside of Korea
Excluding special purpose vehicles, sales were up 2.2 percent compared with the same period in 2024, to 227,724 units outside of Korea.
In markets outside of Korea, the Sportage SUV led the brand’s momentum, recording 42,579 sales. The Sportage was followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 20,439 units, and the K3 (also known as Forte outside of Korea) and K4, which recorded sales of 18,200 units combined.

In March, Kia sold 50,006 units in the Korean market, a two percent increase compared with the same period last year.
The Sorento SUV led the company’s sales of passenger vehicles in its home market, recording 10,155 sales. The Carnival MPV followed with sales of 7,710, while the Sportage SUV recorded sales of 6,617 units.
Kia achieved its highest-ever first-quarter sales performance since it began automobile sales in 1962. From January to March this year, Kia sold a total of 772,351 units, marking a 1.6 percent increase over the 760,514 units sold in the first quarter of 2024.
Kia aims to sustain its sales momentum with the launch of new models, including the EV4 and Tasman. Kia will drive sales growth and reinforce its global leadership through its customer-focused strategies and strategic investment.
